On April 11, nine seniors at Amityville Memorial High School met with two officials from the SUNY schools system to discuss their experiences of completing FAFSA forms.
John B. King Jr., the chancellor of New York State’s SUNY schools, and Donna Linderman, SUNY’s senior vice chancellor for Student Success, sat down with students in the school’s library as they talked about preparing for college. Students shared their experiences of the pros and cons of FAFSA while offering suggestions to the SUNY officials on ways to improve the process of completing the online forms. Both SUNY officials also spoke about their roles and how they regularly meet with prospective students to share helpful tips for students and their parents.
The district would like to thank both SUNY officials for sharing their expertise with our future high school graduates.
