On Oct. 7, students and staff members at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville wore blue to celebrate World Day of Bullying Prevention.  

World Day of Bullying Prevention is recognized annually on the first Monday of October. The initiative brings awareness and educates students, parents and schools about the issue, and it offers hope for every student who experiences the harmful effects of bullying. It also teaches parents to keep open communication with their children.
